Fred Haight Drive Waterline Relocation

Client: Smith River Community Services District
Funding Source: Smith River Community Services District
Project Location: Smith River, CA

The Smith River Community Services District was tasked with the replacement of the water mainline along a 1500' stretch of Fred Haight Drive in Smith River, CA.  Relocation of the waterline was necessary due to road improvements by Del Norte County along Fred Haight Drive, including, but not limited to new storm drain, sidewalk, and resurfacing.  Land surveys and proposed road design were provided by the Del Norte County to Pacific Affiliates.  Pacific Affiliates evaluated the proposed waterline layout relative to the proposed road layout and determined the locations of all utility and road conflicts.  Utility conflict areas were redesigned by Pacific Affiliates and approved by the Del Norte County Department of Public Works.  As part of the contract Pacific Affiliates prepared all construction plans, bid documents, specifications, construction budgets.  The project was successfully bid and administered by Pacific Affiliates, and subsequently completed on time, meeting the road improvement construction window.
