Project Location: Smith River, CA
The Smith River Community Services District, with funding from the State of California, was tasked with the relocation of the water mainline from along State Highway 101 in Smith River, CA. Relocation of the waterline was necessary in order to facilitate the three mile widening of State Highway 101 in Smith River. Land surveys and proposed road design were provided by the State of California to Pacific Affiliates. Pacific Affiliates evaluated the proposed waterline layout relative to the proposed road layout and determined the locations of all utility and road conflicts. Utility conflict areas were redesigned by Pacific Affiliates and approved by the State of California. As part of the contract Pacific Affiliates prepared all construction plans, bid documents, specifications, construction budgets. The project was successfully bid and administered by Pacific Affiliates, and subsequently completed on time, meeting the highway widening construction window.
