Project Location: Eureka, CA
HCAR Center selected Pacific Affiliates to prepare plans for the modernization of their facility in Eureka. As part of the project, Pacific Affiliates was tasked with designing new office space for the north wing of the building, an elevator for accessibility, exterior accessibility, emergency power supply, and new parking facilities on the eastern parcel. Naturally, meeting modern requirements using a historic structure presented the expected challenges. Accurate field work, and imaginative office work produced a project that met the client’s needs, and satisfied code requirements. The project was permitted in early 2011 and is set to begin construction in the Spring of 2011.
