As part of the $34 million project to rebuild and retrofit the Crescent City Marina into a modern tsunami resistant facility, Pacific Affiliates was hired by Dutra Construction to provide survey control throughout the project site, pre construction land and hydrgraphic surveys, grade staking and position piles during drilling and driving operations.
Using a combination of GPS and Reflectorless Robotic Total Station Technology, Pacific Affiliates provided 24/7 support to locate more than eighty 36" diameter piling during driving and drilling operaitons during November and December 2012. Pile locations tolerances were less than .05' and plumbness tolerances were less than .05'/ten feet.
