City of Eureka F Street Dock

Not included in the City of Eureka Boardwalk, Pacific Affiliates was hired by the City of Eureka to complete a turn-key design build project for the floating dock located at the ‘F’ Street Plaza.  As the focal point of the ‘F’ Street Plaza, the dock not only needed to meet ADA standards, but function as an efficient berthing point for site seeing, visitor, and transient vessels.  Project tasks included bathymetric surveys, pile and float design, ramp design, permitting, construction and as-built drawings.  Pacific Affiliates not only completed plans and specifications, but secured permits, and completed construction in six months.  To this day, the floating dock acts as the launching point for kayaks, the ‘perilous plunge’, and berthing facility of the Humboldt Madaket and numerous other vessels.
